The way Angelina Jolie tells it, the divorce proceedings between her and Brad Pitt cannot be over quickly enough. She is reportedly pushing the courts to expedite the divorce, on the grounds that he's not paying adequate child support.
Jolie's lawyer reportedly claims in court documents that Pitt is in breach of an "informal arrangement" arrived at between the two of them.
However, court documents from the initial divorce filing in 2016 may show that she didn't originally request child support from Pitt.
The divorce has been a nasty one. Jolie's lawyer Laura Wasser allegedly wants to absent herself due to Jolie being a nightmare client. Jolie is also reportedly pushing for the child support injunction to be made retroactive.
Jolie is also reportedly reluctant to let their six children spend time with Pitt. She may allow visitation only under threat of having her physical custody of the kids revoked.
The two of them became romantically involved while co-starring in the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They both denied rumors of an affair, as they were both married at the time, but it was later confirmed that Jolie was pregnant with Pitt's child.
They announced their engagement in 2012 and were married in 2014. They separated in 2016 and filed for divorce.
