Christina El Moussa of Flip or Flop has just been given her own show on the HGTV network. The show will be titled Christina on the Coast.
El Moussa will be taking her clients' dilapidated homes through whirlwind makeovers, turning them into high-dollar properties. Unlike most standard makeover shows, though, Christina on the Coast will also delve into El Moussa's private life. The show will follow her as she looks for her own home, tries to find a boyfriend and parents her child on top of it.
HGTV made the announcement today. "Christina's design style is very popular, so it's a natural progression for us to expand her visibility with a new series," said Allison Page, network president. "Her fans also are deeply vested in her personal life and eager to see 'what happens next'--so we're bringing them the opportunity to share in these real-life moments in a way that no one else can."

Christina separated from husband and Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa two years ago. They still appear on the show together.
On a Good Morning America interview today, she remarked, "I think because our divorce was so public and there were so many stories and false stories and so much going on, that for us, actually including some of our real life into the show is important. I think it's important for people to see what goes on with us on a daily basis."
“I closed escrow on a house in Newport Beach last week so it’s actually going to follow me fixing up my own house as well so people are going to get to see a little bit more into my personal life and how I’m designing my own house. I’m also helping eight homeowners fix up their house … In flipping you want to keep it more streamline, you want to appeal to the masses so actually getting to design a house for someone specific is going to be really amazing.”
