Heather Locklear Bound For Rehab

Celebs |

Heather Locklear, following a hospitalization, has decided to go back into rehab. It is not known how long she will stay in rehab, though her family reportedly hopes that she will be there for as long as it takes.

Locklear was sent to the hospital after being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, a California law that allows for the involuntary commitment of people whose mental health makes them a danger to themselves or others. She was placed on a seventy-two hour psychiatric hold in November for allegedly assaulting Chris Heisser, her boyfriend.

Back in February, she was arrested for attacking a cop after having a fight with Heisser. She was again arrested four months later for, allegedly, attacking an EMT and a police deputy. This was the third time this year that Locklear has been hospitalized. In June, she was treated for a suspected overdose.

This will be her third stay in Rehab this year, as well. She has had longstanding issues with substance abuse.

Heather Locklear is best known for her role as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place in the nineties. She is also known for roles on T.J. Hooker, Spin City, Hot in Cleveland and Franklin & Bash.
