Keira Knightley Doesn't Let Daughter Watch Disney Movies

On a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Keira Knightley said that her daughter Edie isn't allowed to watch some kids' movies. Edie, three and a half, is "banned" from watching some Disney movies.

Cinderella is apparently blacklisted in the Knightley household, "because she waits around for a rich guy to rescue her. Don't. Rescue yourself, obviously."

She went on, "And this is the one that I'm quite annoyed about because I really like the film, but Little Mermaid. I mean, the songs are great, but do not give your voice up for a man. Hello."

Keira is, however, a fan of Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo.

"Dory is a big favorite in our house."

"Of course. There's nothing wrong with Dory," DeGeneres said with a knowing twinkle. DeGeneres voiced the character in both movies.

Knightley went on, "Frozen is huge, Moana totally fine."

"There's some good ones, but mainly Dory," replied DeGeneres.
