Earlier today, an interview with John Cena aired on The Today Show in which the wrestling superstar lamented his split with fiancee Nikki Bella, and declared that he wanted her to have his children.
"I still love Nicole, I would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole," he told interviewers Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. "It was an unfortunate set of circumstances where our relationship ended."
Nikki later appeared on Extra. During her interview, she was set back on her heels when her interviewer asked if she'd heard what Cena had said. She hadn't. "Oh, my god, no," she replied.
The interviewer read the above soundbyte to her and she replied, "Wow, well, I'm speechless. Um, yeah, that's crazy. Yeah." She looked surprised and unamused.
She went on to pitch the upcoming season of Total Bellas, which she says is the best yet. She refers to how difficult the wedding planning process is, and how many serious questions it brings up.
Obviously, the most serious question is, "Do I want to spend the rest of my life with John Cena?" Bella appears to be of a mixed mind about it, at best.
"I have hope and I'm just at a point in my life where I feel like I kind've lost me, and I want to find me and work on me."
She also expressed a wish for "John and I both to live happily ever after, whether it's together or separate.
