Samantha Bee, host of Full Frontal, recently gave some interesting advice about how to be a good parent when you're a busy person. "I stopped trying," she said to a Us Weekly interviewer. "I just accept that sometimes I'm disappointing in various areas of life. Sometimes I win the day, sometimes I lose the day."
Bee is the mother of three children, with husband Jason Jones. Considering how busy they both are, it's difficult to balance family against work. She says that the two of them do get to squeeze in some time together when they can find it.
In a 2017 interview on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she said that she sometimes motivates her kids by letting them curse for completing chores.
Bee, born 1969, is a comedian who wears many hats. She first became known for her work as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She stayed there a while. Longer than anyone, actually. She's still the reigning champ for longest-running regular correspondent on the show.
She left The Daily Show in 2015, after twelve years of correspondence, to start Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
Originally from Canada, she got her American citizenship in 2014. Time named her one of their 100 most influential people in the world.
