Yesterday, Barbara Streisand and James Brolin celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary. That's a long time for anyone to be married, but in Hollywood years, it's basically a miracle. They tied the knot on July 1, 1998.
Streisand wrote on her Instagram, "Has it really been 22 years since our blind date @jamesbrolin_? Married for 20 years. Happy anniversary honey. Bee. X." They were both attending the premier of Sicario: Day of the Soldado, starring Brolin's son Josh Brolin.
The two of them met on a blind date. Streisand says she was anticipating meeting a man with a large beard, but instead, Brolin showed up totally clean cut. He says he fell in love with her when she remarked, "Who screwed up your hair?"
Both of them had already been married. Streisand to Elliott Gould, and Brolin to Jane Cameron Agee and Jan Smithers.
Their relationship is reportedly still going strong. "We're better than that first date 20 years ago," Brolin remarked in a recent interview.
Barbara Streisand is an entertainment powerhouse, best known for her music. She also acts, and has won two Academy Awards. She's also taken home ten Grammy Awards, nine Golden Globes, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and multiple other awards.
Brolin is an actor best known for his film and television acting. He has won two Golden Globes and one Emmy. He was given a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2016.
