Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has a new show that's set to debut soon. Called The Titan Games, Johnson is producing and will be appearing on the show, that will revolve around tests of physical strength between contestants. At the end of the show, one mighty Titan will earn one hundred thousand dollars.
The show seems very much like Broken Skull Ranch, the obstacle course show hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Titan Games, however, appears to be following the more Survivor-like reality show formula of a single cast winnowed down through eliminations.
“When the Saints and the Vikings go head-to-head, you know they are going to leave it all out on the field," says Rock in a promotional trailer. “The athletes on my competition series The Titan Games have that same hard-core work ethic: blood, sweat and respect. The first two you give, the last one you earn.”
“One of the most exciting parts about this show is these are the hungriest competitors going head-to-head,” Johnson says. “These men and women have put years in the gym to outperform other competitors and tackle challenges but there can only be one Titan.”
Anything with the Rock in it is bound to hold our attention. Even if it's a little derivative of multiple other reality shows that have come to our screens over the decades. American Gladiators was a good formula, though. The only thing that could improve it is Dwayne Johnson.
